ABOUT THE OWNER

Jason W. Taylor, CPA, Founder of Taylor CPA Group

PROFESSIONAL

Prior to founding Taylor CPA Group, in 2010 Jason worked for 11 years in public accounting. During that time, he developed his vision of an accounting firm that would serve as a trusted advisor, working alongside business owners and individuals. Jason wanted to do more than just complete tax returns and balance sheets. Now, 15 years later, he is very grateful that he gets to do exactly that.

Jason knows that tax planning can be an intimidating process, and most small business owners and individuals don’t look forward to it. He also understands that when a client chooses him as their CPA, he or she is trusting Jason with their most personal and private information. He takes that responsibility very seriously. But, he also loves to show his clients that tax planning can be a painless, dare we say, fun process.

PERSONAL

Jason believes his role as a CPA is only one piece of a full life. “WORK hard! PLAY hard!“ is one of his favorite sayings. Outside of tax season, early Friday mornings, you might even find him on Mobile Bay, fishing from his kayak. Jason's weekends are filled with a mixture of cheering Jeremiah on at a soccer game, wrestling with all three kids, playing his guitar, planting his vegetable garden, taking the family to Harvest Church of Mobile, and grilling his "famous" barbeque ribs for family and friends.

After growing up in Gautier, MS, Jason put himself through college, and proudly graduated from Mississippi State University in 2001. He went on to marry the love of his life, Summer, in 2006. They were blessed by the birth of their first child, Bobby, (now 16). Years later, Jason and Summer began the process of becoming foster parents, after being inspired by God’s call to care for vulnerable children. Almost 2 years after that, they were blessed with the opportunity to adopt their two amazing children, Adriona now (17), and Jeremiah (10). After all, day serving clients, Jason loves to come home to Summer and the three kids, but Rex and Eevee, their puppies are always his most enthusiastic greeters.

Jason believes in the importance of giving back to the local Mobile community, including previously serving as Vice President of the Mobile Chapter of the Alabama Society of CPAs, Secretary of the Mobile Chapter of the Mississippi State University Alumni Association, and volunteering as a tax advisor for a local tax helpline, as well as faithfully supporting the church.
